Jessie graduated from DIU in 2019 and returned to Papua New Guinea to begin training translators for the development of enduring literature in the languages they understand best. Now, two years later, amidst a pandemic and many other hardships, they have been able to successfully complete the first training course! Now this group of native speakers can begin to develop literature to preserve their language and impact generations of people in their community.
Juan, DIU alumnus, moved to Basque country a few years ago and began connecting with local artists, dancers, and musicians. Now they've produced recordings of heritage music that will be heard by their great-grandchildren.
