Help students preparing to partner with Deaf communities

Dallas International University is a Christ-centered university preparing global leaders to partner with local communities. DIU exists "For the World." Our holistic education focuses on rigorous learning, spiritual formation, professionalism, and real-world experience. As our alumni partner with leaders from communities worldwide and combine their experience and skills, together they forge solutions to locally expressed problems.

DIU recently launched a new Certificate in Sign Language Linguistics (CSLL). Graduates will be prepared to work in a variety of roles with sign language communities around the globe. CSLL graduates will be well prepared to study a community’s sign language and to provide the community with life-changing resources and support through linguistic analysis, translation, Deaf education, ethnoarts, and advocacy.

In order to receive this rigorous preparation through DIU's regionally accredited programs, most students rely on scholarships. As the price of education and the cost of living continue to rise around the world, our students need your support now more than ever. Our 4TheWorld-Student Support project aims to secure the funds necessary to continue providing vital financial assistance for our students. DIU cares deeply that students are able to graduate without the weight of debt, so that they can launch immediately into their careers and callings. The Sign Language Linguistics Scholarship will provide 75% of tuition costs per student, enabling more students to learn the linguistics surrounding the world’s sign languages in order to partner with Deaf communities.
